Y’s was launched by Yohji Yamamoto in Tokyo in 1977. With experimental tailoring and distinct values, Y’s has captivated a cult following, making clothes under the design labels Black and Pink. Black explores technique in cut and fit while Pink is contemporary, feminine and rebellious.
The First Editions of Y’s eyewear evokes this spirit, with styles that are classic yet modern, in harmony with the everyday.
Effortless silhouettes crafted in stainless steel, 7001-7004 honour classic fits, in a palette of rich coloured lenses and acetates.
The sun styles in striking patterned acetates, 5001-5006, impart the texture, airiness and balance that are signature to Y’s.
The First Editions are decorated with a “Sashiko stitch” as seen on the acetate temples– reflecting functional Japanese embroidery to symbolise repair and connection. Finished in an earthy palette of Jade, Indigo, Walnut, Oak and Plum.
10 new Sun and 2 Optical styles are now available for summer delivery.
